Between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc and 1 hour from Geneva Airport, Les Gets is an integral part of the Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil region, one of the largest skiing area and mountain biking areas in Europe. Its mountain-pass location means it enjoys exceptional amounts of sunshine whatever the season.
A little piece of paradise in the Alps
Nestled at an altitude of 1172 m, in the heart of the Chablais massif, Les Gets is a natural, beautiful, preserved and lively resort that simply makes you feel good, makes you feel “at home”. As proof, the resort benefits from the Quality Tourism label.
The village, which dates back to the 11th century, cultivates a lifestyle that lends it a highly selective and refined authenticity. It also offers a rich cultural heritage, as well as a carefully selected wellness offer.
Eager to promote soft mobility on its territory, the resort offers services to easily move around the village and its surroundings: covered parking lots, free shuttles and little train, electric bicycle in summer, charging points for electric cars, etc.
At nightfall, the village and the snow front are adorned with magical illuminations. A perfect time to stroll the streets and do some shopping. The shops are numerous and varied: sports and equipment rental shops, delicatessens offering local products, clothing and decoration shops, restaurants, bars, etc.
In the immensity of the Portes du Soleil
Directly accessible from the resort, the Portes du Soleil ski area is, quite simply, one of the biggest in the world ! Which means Les Gets offers an authentic cross-border skiing adventure with 286 slopes covering around 650 km between France and Switzerland, all accessible via 196 ski lifts. A playground without limits for skiers who can’t get enough!
For skiers who prefer to stay local, the 71 slopes and 47 lifts of the ski area of Les Gets-Morzine offer ideal conditions. From the resort, novices and expert skiers alike can enjoy a wide diversity of challenges on both the Chavannes side (to reach Morzine) and the Mont-Chéry slopes. Either way, the decor of pine woods and pastures will keep you happy all day long.
Without forgetting the children’s fun areas and the centre-resort zone with ski-in/ski-out facilities.
A perfect blend of authentic and elegance
What makes the modern resort of Les Gets so appealing is that it keeps up with the times while remaining loyal to its traditions and history, true to its values and mindful of its environment.
The resort is an authentic demonstration of the art of mountain living, displaying architectural expertise and the generous use of noble materials that perfectly reflect the very spirit of this exceptional unspoilt setting.
With its hundred small stone and wooden chalets with chic and cocooning inspirations, the village has that extra little something that so appeals to holidaymakers.
Among the chalets, apartments, holiday flats, hotels and guestrooms, you’re sure to find the ideal accommodation and be won over by your stay !
