It is with great joy that we announce that Lauryne Chappaz, the 2020 Junior Downhill World Champion, has joined the ranks of Les Gets ambassadors.
At only 18, Lauryne is the next generation of the French downhill mountain bike team.
On 11 October 2020, one year after her 8th place, Lauryne became world downhill mountain bike champion in the junior women’s category in Leogang, Austria. In 2020, she was also first overall in the French Cup.
A new member of the Vélo Club des Gets, the athlete from Reignier already trained regularly on the Bikepark des Gets.
This season, she will be wearing the colours of Les Gets on the Elite World Tour and will be taking part in the 2021 UCI MTB World Cup that will take place in the resort from 2 to 4 July 2021 with the aim of achieving an exceptional performance “at home”.
A partnership contract co-signed by Sagets and the Tourist Office runs for two years.
