Le UCI Mountain Bike World Series Festival Haute-Savoie, will be taking place in Les Gets, Châtel and Morzine-Avoriaz from 7 to 17 September 2023. With over 600 km of dedicated mountain bike trails and 24 ski lifts, Portes du Soleil is the perfect location for this World Cup. Blessed with an exceptional natural heritage, Portes du Soleil is the place of choice for fans of outdoor sports. The scenery creates an impressive backdrop for competitors and spectators alike, with its mountain pastures, Alpine forests, peaks overlooking Mont Blanc, the countryside surrounding Lake Geneva, the Swiss Alps and the Dents du Midi.
A historic year: This is the first time in the history of the sport that the UCI World Cups for Olympic Cross-country (XCO), Short Track (XCC), Marathon (XCM), Downhill (DHI), Enduro (EDR) and E-Enduro (E-EDR) will be brought together in a single event. It is not just the biggest names in mountain biking who will be taking part. The amateur races organised in XCM and EDR will give everyone the chance to be at the start line and measure themselves against the fastest riders in the world.
LES GETS – 6 > 10 SEPT.2023 DHI – XCC – XCO
There is a long-standing tradition of good relations between Les Gets and international mountain bike competitions❤️. With its legendary downhill tracks, demanding cross-country route and incredible spectators, the village of Les Gets has it all. The 2004 and 2022 World Championships will go down in French and international mountain bike history forever, and we cannot wait for this landmark 2023 World Cup event.🚵♂️
MORZINE – 16 SEPT. 2023 XCM
The Cross-Country Marathon (XCM) is a 100 km course with a 4,000m climb which starts in Morzine. It is a high-speed tour of Portes du Soleil! What is special about this event is that it is open to everyone, so come and take on the world’s elite in this discipline.🚵♂️
CHÂTEL – 15 > 17 SEPT.2023 ENDURO / E-ENDUR
The reputation of the Châtel resort in the world of mountain biking is well established. Portes du Soleil is home to the Châtel Mountain Style (the European equivalent of the Red Bull Rampage), which has seen some of the world’s greatest freeriders compete against each other, and it has developed one of the most exciting bike parks in the world. However, be warned – the trails are technical, steep and challenging. There is plenty to delight amateurs, as well as the sport’s elite, who will be competing with each other on the slopes.🚵♂️
