Winter is coming to an end and it's time for some spring cleaning!
The Mairie des Gets invites you to cleaning up the mountain and minimising the impact of waste left in nature.

Saturday 17 May 2025.
The traditional mountain litter pick will take place this year on Saturday 17 May 2025 at 9.00am.
In partnership with the Mountain Riders association, Les Gets Tourisme and the caterer Tartif, the commune of Les Gets invites you to its traditional mountain litter pick day.
We invite residents, associations and anyone interested in protecting our environment to join us on Saturday 17 May 2025 at 9.00am, under the porch of Les Gets town hall.
Programme for the day
AT 9.00 AM
MEET ON THE PORCH OF THE LES GETS TOWN HALL
Participants will be welcomed with coffee, tea, fruit juice and pastries.
Rubbish bags and gloves will be provided for safe rubbish collection.
Collection areas will be determined for each group. Those who wish to do so can be taken by mini bus to the most remote areas.
FROM 11:00 A.M.
CHARACTERISATION OF WASTE COLLECTED
To reduce pollution, you have to know what it is!
When you return from your waste hunt, you'll have to weigh and sort the bags: plastics, metals, wood, paper, cardboard, cigarette butts, etc.
This step will enable us to develop actions to reduce waste at source.
FROM 12.30PM
MEAL OFFERED TO ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS
Tartiflette offered by the caterer ‘TARTIF’; cold meats, drinks and desserts offered by the Municipality of Les Gets.
